  • Equal Access Isn't Optional: What the ADA Web Rule Means for Your Agency Right Now"

Website accessibility has become a growing area of scrutiny for public agencies nationwide. By April 26, 2027, governments with populations under 50,000 must comply with new Department of Justice rules for websites, apps, and digital content. Larger cities and counties are already being held to the new standards. How can you be sure that your town is in compliance? What policy, procurement, and leadership decisions are needed? We'll take a candid, no-jargon look at the most common accessibility failures on public sector websites — inaccessible online forms, inadequate contrast, missing image descriptions, uncaptioned video, and screen reader errors – and what you can do. You'll leave with a practical checklist, ideas on where to find help, and the vocabulary to drive the conversation back at the office.

  • The Power of Green Purchasing: Advancing Savings and Sustainability in Municipalities & Schools

Green purchasing is the practice of selecting products, technologies, and services that reduce environmental impact, improve energy performance, and generate long term financial benefits. For municipalities and schools, this approach can be integrated into everyday operations in many meaningful ways.

We’ll also demonstrate how our free technical assistance can help your community move these strategies from concept to implementation. In addition, we’ll outline available grants and funding programs that make these projects more accessible and cost effective.
